Backpackers travel insurance policy exclusions.

General exclusions:

1. Incurred expenditure

2. All cases of HIV transmission.

3. Any self injury.

4. Sports and other activities that are dangerous and not included in the policy. Though every good backpackers policy include sports, it is advised to read the policy carefully. All sports and activities are not mentioned, and you should know what you will do or not and what will be covered in case if you decide to try something new on your holiday. Also every company may have it’s own list of activities that are covered  that is why it is good to check them if you find the cheapest one. Maybe it has some sports exclusions.

Medical insurance exclusions:

1. Pregnancy or birth of a baby.

2. Not urgent treatments that you can have or continue after your trip.

3. Cosmetic surgery, nervous, mental problems and illnesses.

4. Travelling against the advices of your doctor.

5. Illnesses that have started before your trip.

6. Be careful with limits. If the cost of your treatment will be more that was claimed in the policy, extra money you will have to pay yourself.

Baggage and personal belongings exclusions:

1. Sports equipment.

2. Contact lenses.

3. The same about luggage limits. The sum that was claimed in the policy will be covered, so give proper value of your belongings.

Liability exclusions:

1. Activities dealing with business or your job.

2. Dangerous sports.

3. Motor vehicles.

Your advantages: number of days in your trip are not fixed. It is not the same with multi trip travel insurance and single trip travel insurance. So you can be really independent on your holiday!
